National Teams Competition

A regular national team is made up of 8 players (6 men / 2 women). And each team can have only 2 reserve players, (1 man and 1 woman) who will be able to rotate with regular team members. But please note that no changes of players will be allowed within 2 hours before each game. So you can not write more than 8 names on the score sheet.

The minimum number of players allowed in a team is 5

Is there no women in team, so the 2 points are lost, is 1 woman in team, so she can play the women's singles

Competition format

The competition is played with a direct elemination (Single K.O.). They play 4 matches in Singles followed by 4 matches in Doubles. A match consists of 1 game to 7 points, the match must be won by two clear points (8:6, 9:7).
If both teams have won 4 matches (4:4), an extra match played in Doubles, to be played by the two players of each team who have not yet taken part in Singles.

For the draw, 8 nations will be designated as "Seeds":
top seeds: The host country (Germany) and the best 3 nations in the ITSF rankings

seccond seeds: The next 4 highest ranked nations in the ITSF rankings
